Jessica Spencer is a writer of short stories and essays. Her work touches on religion, kinship, womanhood, and queerness.


She is influenced by Ali Smith, W.G. Sebald, and Abraham Joshua Heschel, amongst others.


She works for an interfaith charity, where as part of her work she is the Editor of Common Ground magazine, and also writes about Judaism, Christianity, and contemporary social issues.


Jessica spends her time wondering what sort of writer she wants to be.
